Kilmainham Gaol

This post features student writing.

Hi all! We’re Isa and Diego and we are the co-leaders of our fourth day in Ireland! We’ve fought off the remnants of jet lag and it is finally shorts weather.

This morning we got our eggs and Nutella bread from the hotel and headed off in our workshops to…drum roll please…Dublin Castle, the Little Museum of Dublin, and to do writing exercises!

We all spent time at the historical Kilmainham Gaol before lunch. It is old and full of stories of rebellion and love and tragedy. In essence, the ultimate writer’s inspiration.

We ended the day eating dinner at an Irish dancing place and having great food. Some of our group members even had a special feature on stage with the dancers. They were amazing! So special shout out to Camille, Cat, and Cayla for their Irish dance moves. All in all it was a wonderful day, and we can’t wait for the days we have left in Ireland!
